Institut in Washington, D.C., in Auftrag gegeben und erschien zusammen
mit anderen Gedichten auf der Webseite des Instituts als Bestandteil
einer Serie mit dem Titel »Poetry for Today and
Tomorrow«. Diese Seite basiert auf der Originalseite des Goethe Instituts. Ich
veröffentliche sie erneut auf meiner eigenen Domain, da die Originalseite
nicht mehr im Internet verfügbar ist.
The English translation of this poem was commissioned by the Goethe Institut in Washington, D.C., in 2002 and originally appeared on the institute's website as part of a series called »Poetry for Today and Tomorrow« along with a series of other poems. This rendition is based on a screen shot of the original Goethe Institut site. I am republishing it here on my own site because the original is no longer available on the Internet.
